Scholarships

The Permanent Endowment is one of the largest providers of scholarships on Martha’s Vineyard.  In 2010, the Endowment awarded $123,600 to 54 Island students.  Fifty percent of these awards supported high school seniors entering college and the balance helped students currently enrolled in college programs. 

Scholarships are awarded annually and range in size from approximately $500 to $5,000 with the criteria for applicants established by each scholarship fund.  Awards are made for one year and paid in two equal installments.  Additional support for scholarship recipients is available but interested students must reapply.

Application materials are available under Forms and Resources on this website.  For the 2010-2011 academic year, applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2011.  Students are notified of the Board’s decisions by early June.
